Reimagined for 24 Frets
Rather than simply extending the neck, Momose completely redesigned the body geometry to accommodate a 24-fret fingerboard without compromising balance or playability.
The treble-side cutaway has been carefully reshaped to improve upper fret access, while subtle adjustments to the body dimensions preserve the familiar appearance and ergonomics of the traditional MT design.
The result is a guitar that feels remarkably natural despite its expanded range.
Flame Tochi & One-Piece Ash
At the heart of this instrument is a spectacular Flame Tochi top paired with a one-piece Ash body.
Tochi has become one of Japan's most sought-after tonewoods, valued for its balanced response, attractive figuring, and musical character. Tonally, it offers a dry, articulate voice with excellent clarity, rich upper harmonics, and a smooth midrange response.
Combined with the snap and responsiveness of the one-piece Ash body, the result is a guitar that excels in everything from clean rhythmic playing to modern high-gain applications.
