The Momose MT2/M is a refined interpretation of the classic TL-style electric guitar, combining traditional design with the precision and craftsmanship of Japanese guitar building.
Each instrument is handcrafted at the Deviser Aska Workshop in Nagano, where experienced luthiers focus on careful wood selection, precise construction, and meticulous finishing. The MT series retains the familiar character of a traditional design while incorporating subtle refinements that enhance comfort, balance, and playability.
With its clean lines and understated aesthetic, the MT2/M reflects Momose’s dedication to building instruments that feel both timeless and refined.
Tone & Character
The two-piece ash body paired with a maple neck and maple fingerboard produces a tone that is bright, articulate, and highly responsive, with strong attack and clarity.
Equipped with Momose VT-1 pickups, the MT2/M delivers classic TL-style tones with excellent note separation and dynamic response, maintaining clarity whether played clean or with gain.
Craftsmanship
Every Momose guitar is built at the Aska Workshop, where a small team of craftsmen prioritises precision and consistency.
Premium components such as Jescar frets, GOTOH hardware, and an oiled bone nut ensure reliability and performance. Combined with Momose’s careful finishing and setup process, the MT2/M offers exceptional playability and a refined boutique feel.
