The Momose MT2/M BBD is a modern interpretation of a classic T-style guitar, meticulously handcrafted at the Aska workshop in Nagano, Japan. Built around a two-piece ash body, maple neck, and maple fingerboard, it combines traditional construction with a number of thoughtful refinements designed to enhance comfort, stability, and playability.
While retaining the familiar character of a traditional T-style instrument, the MT2/M features a deeper treble-side cutaway, a recessed neck joint, and a comfortable Soft V neck profile, allowing effortless access to the upper frets.
The White Blonde finish highlights the natural grain of the ash body, while the thin top lacquer finish allows the instrument to resonate freely.
Tone & Character
The combination of an ash body and maple fingerboard delivers a bright, articulate voice with excellent clarity, strong attack, and tight low-end response. Whether played clean or driven, the MT2/M retains the dynamic character that has become synonymous with the Momose name.
For 2026, the model receives Momose's newly developed Awake pickups, designed to provide improved balance, responsiveness, and articulation across all positions.
