Part of the very first Momose × Black Crane Guitars Store Run, the MC2-TOCHI/M SSH brings a different character to the collection with its combination of Flame Tochi, ash and maple.
A beautifully figured Flame Tochi top is paired with a two-piece ash body and maple fingerboard, creating a lighter visual character than its rosewood-fingerboard MC1 counterparts. The Flame Tochi is carried through to the matching-colour headstock, making the figuring a defining feature from one end of the guitar to the other.
For this version, we selected a BLU-VGR pickguard, complemented by black metal controls and double-black pickup bobbins. The blue-toned pickguard adds a cooler accent against the natural figuring of the Flame Tochi, giving this guitar a distinctly different character while remaining unmistakably part of Store Run #1.
The HSS configuration features two Mojotone Classic Strat single coils together with a Mojotone Classic Humbucker Hot in the bridge, combining familiar single-coil character with a fuller, more powerful bridge voice.
Japanese-made GOTOH hardware includes SD91-05M MG-T locking machine heads and a 510T-FE1 tremolo, while Jescar stainless-steel frets complete the specification.
Built in Japan by Momose and specially specified for Black Crane Guitars.
