MOMOSE MC2/R
Handcrafted in Nagano, Japan.
The Momose MC2/R is a refined interpretation of the classic ST-style electric guitar, combining traditional design with the precision and craftsmanship of Japanese guitar building.
Each instrument is handcrafted at the Deviser Aska Workshop in Nagano, where experienced luthiers focus on careful wood selection, precise construction, and meticulous finishing. The MC2 series builds upon a traditional foundation with enhanced articulation and a more defined tonal response.
With its clean lines and understated aesthetic, the MC2/R reflects Momose’s dedication to building instruments that feel timeless yet refined.
Tone & Character
The two-piece ash body paired with a maple neck and Indian rosewood fingerboard produces a tone that is articulate, balanced, and highly responsive, with clear attack and strong note separation.
Equipped with Momose VS-1 single-coil pickups, the MC2/R delivers classic single-coil character with a modern level of clarity and versatility, making it suitable across a wide range of playing styles.
Craftsmanship
Every Momose guitar is built at the Aska Workshop, where a small team of craftsmen focuses on precision and consistency.
Signature design refinements such as a recessed neck joint, smooth fingerboard edges with wood binding, and an optimised neck profile contribute to improved playability without compromising the traditional feel.
Combined with premium components and Momose’s meticulous finishing process, the MC2/R offers a refined boutique playing experience.
