MOMOSE MC2/R
Handcrafted in Nagano, Japan.
The Momose MC2/R is a refined interpretation of the classic ST-style electric guitar, combining traditional design with the precision and craftsmanship of Japanese guitar building.
Each instrument is handcrafted at the Deviser Aska Workshop in Nagano, where experienced luthiers focus on careful wood selection, precise construction, and meticulous finishing. The MC2 series builds upon the traditional platform with enhanced tonal character and a slightly more articulate response.
With its clean lines and understated aesthetic, the MC2/R reflects Momose’s dedication to building instruments that feel timeless yet refined.
Tone & Character
The two-piece ash body paired with a maple neck and Indian rosewood fingerboard produces a tone that is articulate, balanced, and highly responsive, with added clarity and definition across the frequency range.
Equipped with Awake single-coil pickups, the MC2/R delivers clear vintage-style dynamics with excellent note separation and expressive response. Whether played clean or driven, it maintains clarity and presence while remaining responsive to the player’s touch.
Craftsmanship
Every Momose guitar is built at the Aska Workshop, where a small team of craftsmen prioritises precision and consistency.
Premium components such as Jescar frets, GOTOH hardware, and an oiled bone nut ensure reliability and performance. Combined with Momose’s careful finishing and setup process, the MC2/R offers exceptional playability and a refined boutique feel.
