Part of the very first Momose × Black Crane Guitars Store Run, the MC2/M Aged takes a more traditional direction within the collection, pairing classic specifications with Momose’s hand-applied heavy aged treatment.
A two-piece ash body is paired with a maple fingerboard, giving this version its own character alongside the alder and rosewood MC1/R Aged. The SBBD over 3TS Heavy Aged finish reveals glimpses of the three-tone sunburst beneath the blue top colour, with the worn finish and aged details giving each instrument an individual appearance.
The traditional SSS configuration features a set of Mojotone ’59 Clone Strat pickups with aged white covers, complemented by aged white control knobs. A tone-control bypass is also incorporated into the specification, adding a more direct signal option to the otherwise vintage-inspired setup.
Japanese-made GOTOH hardware includes SD91-05M MG-T locking machine heads and a 510TS-SF1 tremolo, while Jescar stainless-steel frets bring a modern touch to the playing specification.
With its ash body, maple fingerboard and heavily aged finish, the MC2/M Aged offers a distinctly different interpretation of the same vintage-inspired formula found in its MC1/R counterpart.
Built in Japan by Momose and specially specified for Black Crane Guitars.
