The MC1-TOCHI/R SSH forms part of the very first Momose × Black Crane Guitars Store Run — a small collection created with our own selection of specifications, woods and finishes.
At the centre of this build is a beautifully figured Flame Tochi top over a two-piece alder body, paired with an Indian rosewood fingerboard. The Flame Tochi is carried through to the matching-colour headstock, giving the guitar a distinctive identity from body to headstock.
A custom PK/PP-VGR pickguard adds another layer of character, while black metal controls and black pickup bobbins keep the overall appearance cohesive.
For the electronics, Momose pairs two Mojotone Classic Strat single coils with a Mojotone Classic Humbucker Hot in the bridge, providing a versatile HSS configuration that moves naturally from traditional single-coil clarity to a fuller and more powerful bridge voice.
Hardware is Japanese-made GOTOH throughout, including SD91-05M MG-T locking machine heads and a 510T-FE1 tremolo, while Jescar FW55090 stainless-steel frets provide excellent durability and a smooth playing feel.
