MOMOSE MC1/R
Handcrafted in Nagano, Japan.
The Momose MC1/R is a refined interpretation of the classic ST-style electric guitar, combining traditional design with the precision and craftsmanship of Japanese guitar building.
Each instrument is handcrafted at the Deviser Aska Workshop in Nagano, where experienced luthiers focus on careful wood selection, precise construction, and meticulous finishing. The MC1 series represents a pure, traditional approach, staying close to vintage specifications while incorporating subtle refinements for improved playability.
With its clean lines and understated aesthetic, the MC1/R reflects Momose’s dedication to building instruments that feel timeless and authentic.
Tone & Character
The alder body paired with a maple neck and Indian rosewood fingerboard produces a tone that is balanced, warm, and expressive, with smooth highs and a full midrange.
Equipped with Momose VS-1 single-coil pickups, the MC1/R delivers classic vintage-style tones with excellent clarity and dynamic response. It retains a natural, organic character that responds sensitively to the player’s touch.
Craftsmanship
Every Momose guitar is built at the Aska Workshop, where a small team of craftsmen focuses on precision and consistency.
Premium components such as Jescar frets, GOTOH hardware, and an oiled bone nut ensure reliability and performance. Combined with Momose’s careful finishing and setup process, the MC1/R offers exceptional playability with a refined boutique feel.
