Part of the very first Momose × Black Crane Guitars Store Run, the MC1/R Aged takes a more traditional direction within the collection, pairing classic materials and specifications with Momose’s hand-applied heavy aged treatment.
A two-piece alder body is paired with an Indian rosewood fingerboard, while the SBBD over 3TS Heavy Agedfinish reveals glimpses of the three-tone sunburst beneath the Sonic Blue-inspired top colour. The worn finish, aged hardware and subtle variations across the instrument give each guitar an individual character that feels naturally lived-in rather than uniform.
The traditional SSS configuration features a set of Mojotone ’59 Clone Strat pickups with aged white covers, voiced around the character and response of late-1950s single coils. Aged white knobs complete the vintage-inspired appearance, while the tone-control bypass specification allows for a more direct signal path when engaged.
Japanese-made GOTOH hardware includes SD91-05M MG-T locking machine heads and a 510TS-SF1 tremolo, while Jescar stainless-steel frets bring a distinctly modern element to an otherwise vintage-inspired specification.
A familiar foundation, interpreted through Momose craftsmanship and the individual character of a heavily aged finish.
Built in Japan by Momose and specially specified for Black Crane Guitars.
