The Electro-Harmonix Bass Soul Food brings the transparent overdrive and clean boost character of the original Soul Food to bass, with a signal path specifically optimized to retain low-frequency definition, warmth and punch.
An adjustable Blend control mixes the clean signal with the overdriven tone, helping preserve articulation and low-end clarity even as the gain increases. Boosted internal power rails provide additional headroom, making the pedal equally useful as a subtle clean boost or for adding warmth, growl and drive.
The Bass Soul Food also features a switchable -10dB pad for active instruments, together with selectable true or buffered bypass, making it suitable for a wide range of basses, guitars and pedalboard setups.
